First, anyone can leave a book review on Amazon, even if you did not buy the book there. Even if you bought a signed copy from me, another online store, or from a local bookstore, you can leave a review on Amazon.
Why leave a review?
Hopefully, you enjoyed the book and felt it was helpful. If you support my work and want to show it, this is a great way to do it.
As an independent author, ratings and reviews are essential. They help the book receive more visibility. Greater visibility can lead to more people reading and benefiting from the book.
How to Leave a Review?
Step One: Login to your Amazon account
If you do not have an account, you can easily create one without buying anything.
.
Step Two: Search for the book
The Wilds of Cancer
The Wilds of Aging
Deep into Yellowstone
In the Temple of Wolves
I’m focusing particularly on The Wilds of Cancer and The Wilds of Aging because they have the fewest reviews.
Click the book or title when you find it. That opens a page dedicated to the book.
Step Three: Find “Write a Customer review.”
There are two ways to do this:
- Under the book title and my name, you will see the book’s star rating and the number of reviews to date. Put your cursor over the stars, and a box will appear with “See Customer Reviews” in it. Click that, and you will go to the review page. On the left side of the page, you’ll see “Review this Product.” Click on “Write a Customer Review,” and you’ll be able to write your review.
- Or you can scroll down the page for quite some distance until you’ll see on the left-hand side “Customer Reviews.” You’ll see under “Review this Product” a box containing “Write Customer Review.” Click on “Write a Customer Review,” and you’ll be able to write your review.
Step Four: Write your Review
First, select the number of stars you want to give the book. The more the merrier.
Second, write the review. A few sentences will suffice, but feel free to write more if you’d like.
Third, include an optional photo. Maybe, for example, you have a photo of you holding or reading the book.
Fourth, title the review (required). You can use phrases such as “Loved it,” “A must read,” “Very helpful,” or “Highly recommended.” You get the idea.
Fifth, click “Submit.”
I truly appreciate your taking the time to write a positive review. This will help the book reach more readers and help them on their journeys.
Thank you,
Rick
